How do I generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR)?

Generating a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) is very straightforward and can be accomplished quickly using the cPanel interface for your account.

To generate a certificate signing request, login to cPanel for your account, navigate to the SSL/TLS area and choose the link to manage Certificate Signing Requests; on the CSR page fill out the form to generate a new CSR for your website. If you intend to use "yourdomain.com" or "www.yourdomain.com" as the certificate address, the "www.yourdomain.com" option should be used as the certificate will then cover both addresses. A certificate for "yourdomain.com" will only cover the one domain. The encoded contents of the generated CSR, which will be displayed after submitting the form, can then be pasted into the order form (or support ticket, if needed).
